So, have you been hibernating this winter? If so, spring is here and with it comes sunshine, flowers blooming and birds chirping. What a wonderful time to get outside and enjoy some fresh air all while exploring South Australia.
We all are aware that COVID-19 has impacted not only the tourism industry but many others. And whilst overseas travel and dare we say interstate travel is at a standstill for a while, there is the whole of South Australia to discover and explore.
FOLLOW THE SOUTH COAST and visit towns such as Port Noarlunga. Stop and have a dip in the ocean at Maslin Beach. Why not enjoy some retail therapy at Aldinga Central Shopping Centre.
From visiting coastal towns such as PORT VICTORIA and Port Clinton in Yorke Peninsula, both well loved towns predominantly for fishing and holidaying in, to visiting beautiful and historic towns a bit more inland like WUDINNA located in the Eyre Peninsula. This beautiful town will have you experiencing authentic outback Australia with many things to see and do. Such as stopping by and looking at the Australian Farmer Statue carved out of local granite. You can climb Mount Wudinna which is one of the largest granite monoliths in the southern hemisphere and take in the spectacular view from the top.
Why not head down to the Southeastern side of South Australia, known as the Limestone Coast and visit towns such as Robe, Naracoorte and of course MOUNT GAMBIER. Spend a night or two in Mt Gambier (Second largest town in South Australia), and visit iconic geological wonders such as, the sparkling blue waters of the Blue Lake or the underground garden known as Umpherston Sinkhole and enjoy the picturesque garden with stunning roses and colourful hydrangeas.
South Australia is alive in spring with so many towns and local shops to visit. Pick a region, plan your day and get on the road. What a perfect time to help support local South Australian businesses.
