Autumn Travel in SA

Autumn is well underway and what a perfect time to step out from your front door and head out to see what our beautiful state has to offer. There is no better time than the present to escape the city and explore the new, the old and the quaint in South Australia.

Explore the Adelaide Hills with its rugged areas and home to some of SA’s best food. But of course, you cannot visit the Hills without stopping and immersing yourself with nature at Mt Lofty Botanic Park. Explore 97 hectares with stunning flower gardens and an array of trees and their AUTUMN LEAVES with their vibrant colours. Your eyes will delight when going for a casual stroll through one of the many trails, allowing you to de-stress, soak in and smell all that nature has to delight you with.

From the Adelaide Hills to the South, something new and exciting is opening on the 28th of March. The stunning Myponga Reservoir Reserve will be opening, and you will be able to enjoy kayaking (what an exciting opportunity for the adventure seekers) and fishing. What a fun filled day for young and old, with an array of activities to explore. Start the day with the dam wall drive to the lookout, enjoy the trail which can be ideal for walking, running, or biking. Why not pack a picnic lunch to enjoy while soaking in the picture-perfect surrounds. Make sure to include this in your to do list and be one of many to enjoy this experience.

If historic and quaint is your cup of tea, why not take a drive and stay for the weekend and explore the small historic town of QUORN. While your there make sure to not miss the current show on offer. From sunset every night to about 830pm the free Quorn Silo Light Show is exhibiting. Grab some dinner from the local hotel, sit and enjoy this starlit audio-visual celebration.

So, what are you waiting for! pack your bags and don’t let Covid stop you from exploring all that your state has for you to explore.

Safe Travels.
