Lakes Entrance is a coastal town in eastern Victoria approximately 320kms east of Melbourne, which lies at almost sea level, with a population of just under 5,000 people. It’s known for the Gippsland Lakes, a vast system of inland waterways, the largest in the southern hemisphere. A managed artificial channel connects the Gippsland lakes to Bass Strait. Lakes Entrance is predominantly a fishing and tourism town with the main beach front a harbour for commercial fishing and recreational water sports.

«Make brief stops at Stratford and Bairnsdale where we will give you time to have a wander and purchase an early lunch.
«Arrive at Lakes Entrance with our first stop being Griffith Sea Shell Museum and Marine Display .
«Have a quick orientation drive of Lakes Entrance.
«Board Peels Cruises for a four hour Metung Luncheon Cruise on board the 100 passenger Seabird. Peels cruises is a local family-owned business since 1920, started by Harold Peel after returning from WWI. Your skipper will give full commentary on the history and nature of the Gippsland Lakes.
«Enjoy free time when we return to visit the shops or join in a game of mini golf, always a lot of fun and no skill required.
«As we leave Lakes Entrance and make our way inland, we will stop at Tambo Crossing on the great Alpine Way.
«We will be at Omeo at lunch time. Take time to wander and check out the Fresh Air Cafe, the Crazy Cow Cafe or the High Country Cafe for a bite to eat.
«Make sure you pop into the Omeo German Cuckoo Clock shop.
«Arriving at Beechworth we tour the town to see the beautiful old buildings. Beechworth was famous for it’s major growth in the gold rush days in the mid 1850’s.
«Depart Beechworth and make our way to Ned Kelly country where we will stop at Glenrowan and make a visit to the newly opened Ned Kelly Discovery Hub. The Hub’s striking architecture and viewing platform offer a one-of-a-kind experience, bringing you closer to the very location where Kelly’s dramatic final moments unfolded.
«Wander the streets of Rushworth and grab a bite to eat.
«Travelling on we arrive at the town of Colbinabbin, with the most stunning group of five painted silo’s depicting among other things the significance of the railway in the area.
«Stop at Lake Boga where a secret air force base was located near the town During WWII. Visit Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum where there is a PBY Catalina Flying Boat and bunker on display. The RAAF flying boat maintenance facility was here during the war
«Travel back through central Victoria, taking time to stop at the Sea Lale Silo Art completed in 2019 titled “The Space In Between” & the very young soldier Harold Bell, on the silo Walpeup.
«Lunch stop will be Lameroo, 40kms west of the Victorian border and is now home to two amazing painted silos as well.
«Return home and be back in your bed and we hope you have many wonderful memories of your tour with us.
