«We will make our way to Silverton, a once booming silver mining town, with nearby Mundi Mundi Plains, the filming location for so many films.
«A light lunch will be provided at the iconic Silverton Hotel. Read the many comical and amusing signs in and around the hotel.
«Make your way to the only Australian museum dedicated to Mad Max 2. View the amazing collection of photographs, life sized characters in full costumes, but also discover what impact Mad Max 2 had on the region. The museum also has a souvenir shop for all those fans that would like to take memorabilia home with them.
«Visit the Silver City Mint & Arts Centre. Opened for the first time to the public in 2001, Ando’s Big Picture quickly became Broken Hill’s number one attraction. If you have never been, then prepare yourself to walk through the world’s largest acrylic painting on canvas by a single artist.
«Stop and visit the Outback Sunset Sculpture Symposium. A chance to experience the outback and the natural scenery of the Living Desert Sculptures with champagne and orange juice as the sun goes down.
«Tour the town of Broken Hill with a local tour guide on board. See places like Line of Lode Miner’s Memorial, Afghan Mosque, the Picnic Train ambush site and the Palace Hotel (seen in the 1994 classic movie Priscilla, Queen of the Desert). At the end of the tour we will stop at “Bell’s Milk Bar” where you may wish to indulge in an old fashion milkshake served in the old traditional metal containers.
«Drive to Menindee Lakes “a photographer’s paradise” with it’s stunning natural landscape and it’s abundant wildlife. We will have time to stretch our legs and absorb it’s beauty.
«Visit the Sulphide Street Railway & Historical Museum. The museum complex houses the Silverton Tramway Company locomotives and memorabilia.
«Head to Peterborough, once a thriving Railway Town and home of Steamtown and the Statue of Bob The Railway Dog.
«Make our way back to Adelaide stopping for the Colin Thiele guided tour at Eudunda, a visit to the Colin Thiele Park, dedicated to one of SA’s famous writers and also see the beautiful painted silos.
«Enjoy a two course local cooked lunch provided by the local Saints Football Club and entry to the Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery.
«As we continue on our journey back home we make a stop at the Map Kernow Statue at Kapunda, a tribute to the miners of the area and take in a few of the towns murals
